Dragonball: Celestial

First, I would like to start off by apologizing to everyone for the absence of Celestial on Byond and the absence of myself on the forums. I haven't been on here in quite a while, but I come back bearing good news. Celestial is going to return. We have the computer back and all of the files are fine. It would be up now, but we want to finish updating. When Celestial returns, however, it will have the Tuffles back in it with their new race modifcation, the prices in the shop will be corrected, the multipliers for perms have been increased, and there will be a few new features in the game. These new features will mainly be for the GMs but also for player benefit.

Whenever a player is killed by another player it will state if the player who was killed was holding a dragon ball and if they were under lvl 150. This will help the GMs to enforce two of our rules. I would like to have safe zones incorporated into the game, but I have had no luck with getting that done as of yet, but the game will go back up even if we don't have that done. Since the multipliers of the perm races have been upped you may want to remake if you have a perm characer, but there will not be a pwipe so you will have to do it of your own account.

I do not know how much longer the game will be down, we are working both night and day on these updates to get them done, but it is very time consuming. I am actually spending my Spring Break from school on it, so please be patient and just remember that "The Game You Love" will return shortly.

Well I tried messaging Bhaal a few weeks ago, But I have started Coding/Mapping/Iconing/Graphics and what not, and actually have a few features I wouldn't mind sending you and Bhaal, to implement them into Celestial - Provided you are interested.

- Send File Verb/Ability for all players, Basically it makes a direct connection with the people transferring the files, so it doesn't have an affect on the server, allowing the sharing of files easily and quickly.

- Scoreboard - It will allow players to see who is the highest level, quickly and easily!

- Arena TV - So you can watch the Arena without having to move.

- Quarter Saiyan race? (AKA, Pan).

It's all basically "Plug and Play" - As I have it working in my Elysium game.

And... Hurray! Celestial is coming back! And I am glad all is well Azrael!
Allot of us have been feeling lost without "The game you love".
And those are some impressive new additions.

I kinda like the arena idea, but other than that I don't really care for the other two. If we get a couple of people asking for the send file verb then we'll add it in, but for right now we need to focus on the other aspects of the game. I actually have to try and find a drop zenni verb somewhere. I would add in the quarter saiyan race, but there was only ever one and I don't know what super saiyan transformations they would have, if any. If they had shown more about the race I would have possibly added them in but I'm trying to stick to things I can find out accurately to the show.

At first I didn't even want to add in Super Saiyan 4 because it's not original Dragonball Z it's GT, but then a lot of players wouldn't like that so I had to add it in. There have been a couple of things I've had to give in to to allow the game to be put up and running. I have many ideas for the game but I don't have the skill to add them in. Hopefully this next big update will allow Celestial to become closer to a complete game, and once we have all of the kinks worked out and we have most everything we want in the game, we will focus on daily or monthly activities and fun events. Such as holiday events, maps, and items.

Anyway, we now have most of the iconing done and I will be working on the code some more tomorrow so we should be done in a couple of weeks. I'm gonna try talking to Bhaal and try to put up a definite date for release. So everyone pay close attention to this topic and tell everyone Celestial will return soon.

If you need any help on the coding let me know, I do the coding in my own game, and can just send you the required files after getting it to work, for instance I just added an "Ignore verb" Which should -hopefully- prevent some verbal fights that break out. (If you are interested, I would be more than happy enough to send it).

I like the send file verb personally, trading Icons and and Game files and what not is allot easier that way, still the choice is very much you're own.

If you want the Arena TV there is one thing that I require, and that is the map location for the middle of the arena, then I can send it, and then all you merely have to do is copy it into the folder, enable then compile and it should be all good and working.

I do understand, I have always thought games with "Super Saiyan 6" and what not were... Overboard, not only did those transformations not exist, but it's really not required.
Plus, Celestial is one of the more popular games with the most races, thus allot of transes aren't required.

The Quarter Saiyans are as follows on my game:

Super Saiyan (All Saiyans besides pan got this)
Ascended Saiyan (Goku and Vegeta)
Ultra Super Saiyan (Trunks)
High Tension (Renamed Super Human - Aka, Roshi's muscled state)
Super High Tension. (Renamed Ascended Human - Improved Super).

Still the help is there if you require it, you only have to ask

Pem, your game is a rip of Rebirth, correct? Well, I don't really know much about coding, but I believe that Rebirth and Elysium has different codes. So I am guessing that it wont work.

Well, good news for all: Celestial is now finished. We think......

Lol, anyway, we have finished with the code and it says no that there are no errors in the code. Everything we've tested so far has worked out fine; all we need to do is get some people on the game to check out the Tuffle Infect ability and the transes. Once this is tested and made sure to work out ok the game will be back up. So, everyone be happy and look for Celestial to return. Also, it may return on Crystal Zodiac Games.
